Homespun Nook Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Homespun Nook. By creating an account, registering as a vendor, or purchasing products on our marketplace, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Overview & Platform Role Homespun Nook provides a peer-to-peer venue connecting independent artisans, crafters, crafter suppliers and pet supply creators and suppliers with buyers. Homespun Nook acts solely as the marketplace facilitator. We are not directly involved in the manufacturing, storage, quality control, or fulfillment of physical items sold by independent vendors.
2. Vendor Fee Structure & Payouts

0% Vendor Commission: Vendors retain 100% of their listed product price. Homespun Nook charges sellers $0.00 in marketplace commissions or listing fees.

10-Day Payout Hold: To ensure order fulfillment and protect against transaction fraud, customer payments are subject to a mandatory 10-day holding period from the date of purchase. Following this clearing period, funds are automatically transferred to the vendor’s linked Stripe Connect account.
3. Buyer Transaction Fees A platform service fee equal to 5% + $0.75 is applied to each purchase total at checkout and paid by the buyer. This fee directly covers marketplace infrastructure, site maintenance, order security, and credit card processing operations.
4. Product Standards & Account Approval

Allowed Categories: Listings are strictly limited to genuine handcrafted goods, crafting supplies, and pet-related products.

Account Screening: All seller applications require valid email verification and manual administrative approval. Homespun Nook reserves the right to reject applications or remove listings that fall outside our designated product categories.
5. Privacy & Platform Safety

Data Privacy: Customer email addresses and billing information are strictly hidden from vendors to safeguard buyer privacy. Sellers receive only the recipient name and shipping address necessary to complete physical delivery.

On-Platform Communication: All buyer-seller communication must occur exclusively through Homespun Nook’s internal messaging system. Attempting to move transactions off-platform is prohibited and grounds for immediate account suspension.
6. Shipping & Dispute Resolution Vendors are required to fulfill orders within their stated handling times. Buyers and sellers agree to communicate through the internal dashboard to resolve shipping delays, damage claims, or return requests prior to escalating disputes to platform administration.
7. Community Guidelines & Site-Wide Communication Homespun Nook is designed to be a welcoming, family-friendly, and supportive environment for all crafters and pet lovers. Whether you are using our internal messaging system, leaving a product review, or participating in our community blog and advice forums, you agree to adhere to the following rules of conduct:

Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Bullying, hate speech, discrimination, intimidation, personal attacks, or aggressive behavior toward buyers, sellers, or platform administrators will not be tolerated.

Clean Language: The use of profanity, vulgarity, or offensive language is prohibited in all public posts, shop descriptions, and private messages.

Prohibited Content: Users may not post, share, or discuss any illegal activities, sexually explicit material, or adult content.

No Spam or Unauthorized Solicitation: Do not use community spaces or direct messaging to spam users, distribute malware, or post unauthorized advertisements and external links that are unrelated to your Homespun Nook shop.

Intellectual Property Respect: Users may not use the community blog or messaging systems to distribute stolen craft patterns, plagiarized content, or copyrighted material.
